Until X beats Nova they are and will remain the undisputed top dog of the Now Big East. Has the time come for at least a small chink in top dog armor?

Need monster games for bigs without foul trouble IMO. Find ways to play both bigs and effectively pass out of double teams when they come. Go X

What is with the Xavier fans and their top dog or flagship talk, when they have yet to beat Villanova in a game? It strikes me as similar to their criticism of Dayton's fans.

PC beat Villanova earlier this season, won the BET the year before, finished in the top half of the Big East every year so far, and not a single fan mentioned anything about ships or dogs. Is this an Ohio thing?

It should be a great game, looking forward to watching it, but, if Xavier wins, it means Villanova wins their third straight regular season title by one less game. And that is all it means.

What the hell is your problem?

I don't see Xavier catching Nova for the regular season race, but we're still fighting for it.

Otherwise, there was nothing but respect for Nova expressed in that post.

Get bitter, Georgetown. Fairly certain every fanbase wants to be at the top of their conference. Except for Georgetown apparently, you guys seem pretty content with doormat.

I believe the regular season college basketball rating record on FS1, is February 1, 2014. Georgetown vs Michigan State. 539k

Truth hurts. This is a massive game but it's certainly not the game of the year.

Game of the year will be 1st game in the dance for both, then repeat for 2nd, 3rd, etc. Reg. seasons wins are fun, but the Dance is serious biz. Sure, I'd like to be beat 'Nova cuz we haven't yet. BET should be fun too. Get to the Dance and Advance. That is all!

Nova is the team to beat. It's going to be a great time, no matter what happens. Every talking head out there is going to have to talk about it, everyone is going to have to acknowledge how good the Big East is.

Yes, Nova is, and has been the best team in the conference, and has owned X. But I think this is the hardest game of the year for Nova to win, and I hope it stays that way. X by 7.

Biggest game in Cintas Center history. The 'tas will be rocking and the Muskies will finally get the monkey off their back and beat Nova, getting one step closer to locking up a 1 seed.

Sumner has made huge strides the last several games and has to be chomping at the bit to get this one going. I expect him to be the difference in this close Xavier win.

His bad sentence structure did indicate otherwise, but it's pretty obvious from the context that he was referring to Villanova as the top dog. And the "flagship" comments are a running joke going back to the A10.

Oklahoma back in December, in an airplane hangar, five time zones away, was Nova's hardest game of the year to win.

Just FYI. Carry on.
