Because only two other teams here can relate: Marquette beats North Carolina to win the National Championship!

While no doubt the other Butler fans on the board will post pictures from the 2010 and 2011 Final Four, this one is one of my favorites.

2003. That's Darnell Archey (currently an assistant under former Butler player/coach Matthew Graves at South Alabama) after hitting one of his eight three-pointers to beat Louisville, sending Butler to its first Sweet 16. (He only missed once, shooting 8-for-9 from three.) All the players buzzed their hair before the tournament, which you can see in the photo. (Including Joel Cornette, who had some pretty sweet hair before that.) Tourney warmups had "A Dog Fight" on the back, in reference to the gritty 1st round game against Mississippi State. That was my senior year at Butler, and will always be a really special time.
Also, to my knowledge, Archey still holds the D1 record for consecutive FT makes at 85 (spanning three seasons).

That's my personal favorite, but that is mostly because of why they all shaved their heads.
Lets go Dawgs!

March 26, 2005. Kyle Lowry's 20th birthday. Nova experimenting with small ball for the first time after the loss of Curtis. Will Nova be the one to knock off the favorites to win it all, the North Carolina tar heels?

We all know how this ends. One of the worst calls in NCAA Tournament history. Phantom travel by Allan Ray to give UNC the win.

This was the game when I said to myself, no way does Kyle Lowry play his junior year at nova. Was also the day when I realized that in 2006 it was going to be Randy Foye's team, as opposed to Allan Ray as the leader of the pack.

The headlines the next day:

Randy was tough as nails playing power forward that day:

Randy also put up 28 points:

Kyle was 7-10 from the field, putting up 18 points, taking it hard to the tar heels all game:

Travel, are you kidding me??
