I'm nt all that impressed by the Steph Curry thing. Sure, it is nice, I'm not knocking it, but this idea that is better than any other school can do is funny.
Marquette can show off their current NBA All-Stars to the recruits. D-Wade's MVP Finals MVP, Jimmy Butler. Wesley Matthews.
Jay Wright can flaunt his starting PG in the NBA All-Star game, or the #70 rated recruit that he developed into a lottery pick, or have guys like Darrun Hilliard and Dante Cunningham stop by and explain how they developed over the years and are now cashing NBA checks. He can also talk about his trip to the Final Four, Elite 8 , and multiple other Sweet 16s.
Georgetown has tons of alumni in the NBA to show off.
This Steph Curry picture is similar to a guy getting back stage at an event for a selfie because he had the same venue rented out a few hours before the concert. Sure, it's nice. Gives an aura of big time to the feel of the earlier event. But so what?
If flaunting all stars at the players is the key to recruiting Rawlie Alkins, then my money is on Kentucky landing him. Because the johnnies haven't had much luck in that area since Mullin was actually playing (and the metta world peace guy is nuts)
