I tried to find a picture of Sherri Ann Urbanek-Bach to post in response to NJRedman, but couldn't find one.

I did find this article though, which pretty much sums up the St Johns basketball program:

Yeap. That's my alma mater. But I always followed Connecticut while in the B.E. My gf also went to Storrs so attended many games while she was there.

At the Big East level Connecticut was my team. I will always support the SBU Seawolves though (especially CAA Football)

I too am a big fan of CAA football. I was at the Stony Brook vs. Villanova game in 2012 (hard to believe it was that long ago) at Stony Brook. Great turnout and there very nice stadium. It was FRIGGIN' freezing though. I think your boy Miguel Maysonet had a big game against us. Didn't you have another big time RB from Iowa or something?

Anyway, once fall rolls around if you want to get a side thread going talking CAA football, I'm your guy.

Oh my god. Maysonet. How much do I miss him! I was at that game also and it was the first time we ever beat a great CAA program like Nova. That was special. We had two, not just one, great RBs Miguel Maysonet and Marcus Coker (who did play at Iowa) and QB Essington which stepped big time that year. It was definitely special year for the wolves despite falling at Montana State the next round.

It's been rough competing in the CAA at a high level... but it was expected. It's gonna take several more years to be a good team. I'm a season tix holder. Good to see a fellow CAA enthusiast. Definitely down to get a thread here going when fall comes around!

Once you start pointing out the differences between St. John's and Villanova, regardless if they are true or not, they make you out to be the bully. It doesn't matter if you are just trying to defend your program and responding to things that they said first, they resort to personal attacks, calling you dbags, and saying f**k you.

Again, I hope nothing for the best for St. John's, and I refuse to get riled up by what a few of their fans say. I know where the 2 programs stand, and I am secure in that. I suggest my Villanova brethren do the same.

You just have to love how they judge a whole fan base based on 3 posters.

To both ChestRockwell85 and Phillycat, I have no issue with either of you guys. I appreciate ChestRockwell's letter trying to defuse things, although I wish half the letter wasn't spent trying to defend what was said. You feel we started it, we feel you took things to a totally unacceptable level, at this point no ones going to change the others mind, so let's just put it to bed. Nonetheless, I certainly acknowledge your intentions were good. Discussions in sports, as in politics, can get a bit heated at times.

And Phillycat, you make an interesting observation about judging a fan base by 3 posters. It's interesting, you can like individual players, like the coach, but just a few obnoxious posters from a fan base can create enough ill will, that you find yourself rooting against that team almost as hard as you root for your own. There are a couple of guys in your fan base, that get banned on every message board they go to, that are just out and out jerks. There have been a number of times where St. John's fans have taken each other to task, for making comments they felt reflected poorly on the fan base. Maybe you guys should be willing to do the same occassionally, instead of creating the impression you tacitly agree with what they say. You guys have a couple, that are as unlikeable as anyone you'll encounter anywhere. But as far as you two guys go, it's water under the bridge, let's put it behind us. I wish I could finish this by saying good luck in the future, but unfortunately, I'm not quite ready for that yet, but you know where I'm coming from.

Hey Johnnies Fans,

Just got a text that Richard Freudenberg will be a Johnnie. Good get. Mullin is continuing to bring in some very good players. You guys are looking to be in VERY good shape for the future. Congrats!

Thanks for the news, I hadn't heard that yet. We still need a few more pieces, but at least it's heading in the right direction.

hoops22,

Apparently going to school in North Carolina is working against schools like NC State and people feel that the experience is making Rawle Alkins appreciate New York a whole lot more. I heard that the Christ The King coach now thinks Alkins will be a Johnnie at this point.

ALREADY, you guys are going to have a very, very good squad next year. Youth and inexperience might hurt a bit, but other than that, going to be a much different year than this year. If you guys get Alkins as well, which at this point is a bonus, a HUGE bonus, but a bonus nonetheless, people are not going to have any other choice but to notice the Johnnies are back.

Congrats again. Very impressive what Mullin is doing considering he basically started from scratch.

Thanks, though Zach Braziller from the New York Post who is our beat writer says he just spoke to Freudenberg and that a decision is likely a few weeks away and that it looks good for us.

DAMMIT! Is that where my friend is getting all this "inside" info? I follow Braziller on twitter, I probably could get the same "inside" info myself! Ha! Anyway, just stuff I heard that I wanted to share. My friend made it seem like it was a done deal. I think it is, all signs point to Freudenberg being a Johnnie.
