If we are chokers and a disappointment, what is St. John's? I mean seriously? It's just laughable. We might come off as pompous but how else are we supposed to react when we have St. John's fans saying this?

We very well might lose to Seton Hall tonight. It wouldn't be a horrible loss. Seton Hall is good. What does that change?

Otherwise the conference might well have to deal with the embarrassment of having the first one seed losing to a sixteen seed in the history of the tournament. Take what? The only things St. John's fans can say is we didn't do well in the tournament in the last few years. Do you want to talk about what St. John's has done in the tournament in the last 15 years?

Then you bring up The Pavilion. Like St. John's does with MSG in NYC, we also play games at The Wells Fargo Center in Philly. The Pavilion is nothing special, but is Carnesecca? I mean come on.

The point is we come off as pompous because what we have done recently stacks up so much higher than what St. John's has done that if we start taking shots at each other's programs and comparing the 2, there really isn't much competition. Yeah, St. John's was once a proud program that was mentioned with the elite. If Mullin gets you back there, you certainly won't hear me crying about your success like you are doing when it comes to Villanova.

Keep rooting against us though but if we bow out early in the tournament again, just don't cry about it because for some strange reason we owe St. John's something in March while they sit home and watch on television.

Yeah, chokers who have a bunch of sweet 16 appearances, a couple elite 8's and a final four in the past decade. Huuuuuge chokers!

No wonder the Cuse fans used to pick on you guys. You don't know how to respect your superiors. I don't think the Cuse fans were arrogant, you were probably just trying to tell them that an occassional upset made them suck and they were lite whaaaat.., you're St. John's, you are worse than DePaul?

You know what really hurts the conference? That a team from upstate is New York city's team and the boys from queens are a non-factor who struggle to sell 12k tickets to their big home games. That's what hurts the conference more than anything. And that's just crappy fan support, nothing more.


If St. John's were all they claim to be, we would never have fewer than 20k fans at a big east tourney game. Your fan base sucks. I'm not even talking about your terrible basketball product, but rather your equally pathetic, or should I say apathetic, fan base. You don't deserve a winner because nobody cares about your program and nobody goes to your games.

I am having a change of heart about these johnnies fans. Hey, at least these clowns care about their team. St. John's fans are so rare these days as they play in the cavernous Madison square garden in front of ten thousand fans of the other team. Considering how pathetic the St. John's fan base is, maybe we should lay off these guys and just play along??

You johnnies fans are right. Nova is a complete embarrassment. Jay wright sucks and his final four and elite eight and all those sweet 16s were a fluke. A second round loss is always unacceptable and we should all be ashamed and you should give it to us real good!! You guys are so awesome and I'm sure Eddie Jordan, I mean that other has been hack you have on your sideline, will have you back in the nit in no time. It will be just like 1963 all over again!

I am going to lay off because the truth is I want St. John's to be good. I honestly do. I think already next year they will be significantly better than they are this year. I am rooting for them. If St. John's goes to the Final 4 in the next 5 years I will be standing up and applauding because I won't be crying about how some St. John's fan was mean to me on a message board and I want their program to crumble because my feelings are hurt.

Honestly though, this will be my last post in this thread, but you call a team a disappointment and their fans dbags, what type of reaction are you expecting from that team's fans???????

Anyway, honestly, best of luck to St. John's. I am rooting for you. I was just defending my team like you were. Peace be with you.
