I never doubted how much your RPI can increase or decrease for a single game, especially for teams ranked near 100 or worse. A team in a good position, say an RPI around 30, obviously wouldn't move up 17 spots for beating a bad team.
But are you seriously bragging about a 73 RPI? Lol.
73 RPI is bad. They still have a lot of work to do. Little room for error. Outside looking in.
Get my point now?
And if they win this weekend @ Temple, they'll be in the top 50.
And you know what Butler RPI is right now? 49. And you know what it'll be after beating St John's at home this weekend. Right around 50.
So if Cincy is ahead of Butler after this weekend, does that mean Butler has little room for error then?

As far as Georgetown. This year is reminding me a LOT of 2 years ago. Tough to get behind a team that underachieves like this. Thought this year was going to be a great year but then Radford happened.

Every post you ever made involves if, if, if, if, then. You talk about scenarios not events.
@Temple won't be an easy win. IF they win then they're in better shape. What if they lose? Of course you'd never mention that.
Butler is in a decent position right now but nowhere near as safe as the top 3 Big East teams. The top 3 are locks and Butler has work to do. I'm confused though, how is Butler relevant to this conversation?
Personally, Stever, I WANT Cincy to do well because Big East beat up on them multiple times this year and I want it to be a good win for the conference.

The AAC to me is such a random mishmash of oddball schools with not much in common. With some schools having little to no basketball tradition, history or pedigree it just doesn't generate much excitement or buzz, even to UC friends.

Temple had 4,500 fans at their game on Saturday, and 5,300 fans for their home opener the Saturday before. That's paid attendance, not actual attendance, in a building that holds over 10K. They are below 5,000 fans on average for their weekend home conference games, for a school with over 30,000 students. That is so bad.
Temple was better off in the Atlantic 10. At least then they had rivalry games in January and February that drew fans.
