with all but 4 OOC games left, for 6 teams, next game is 1st conference game...

just looking at KP right now...
Xavier @ Nova- Nova 72-68 67%
PC @ Butler- Butler 80-73 76%
Seton Hall @ Marquette- Marq 71-69 56%
Georgetown @ DePaul- Geo 73-72 53% (let that sit in for you)
Creighton @ St John's- Cre 76-70 72% (let that sit in for you as well- home game bottom half and SJ still only 28% chance to win)

Obviously the first two games are big games but Seton Hall vs. Marquette is an important early game. Seton Hall to stay on the right side of the bubble and Marquette to protect home court and get a quality win (since their non-conference SOS was horrible).

Actually don't think any of these are real big games in terms of dancing.

The two big games will be awesome, but at the end of the day they are huge fun games for entertainment and jockey'ing for position, but all four are going to dance with good seeds.

The only game with tourney implications is seton hall v marquette. Marquette wins and we keep the status quo. Seton hall wins and we have a clear #5 team for now. I don't think a seton hall loss hurts them.

Five fairly evenly matched games with Creighton-SJU as the outlier. I think the first two games should be closer to 50% with the edge to the home teams. Should be a fun day.

I think in terms of tourney stuff- the Seton Hall/Marquette game is the big one. Marquette absolutely needs to hold serve in this one. They can't afford many losses at home to teams outside the top 4 at all.

We are letting marginal D1 teams shoot 60% from 3 against us consistently. We can't run fast breaks because we are literally too slow and can't handle the ball. We turn the ball over seemingly 50% of our possessions. The good news is that the rest of the conference can feast on us and maintain their gaudy rankings lol. In college basketball though, nothing makes sense. Watch us hold good 3 PT shooting Creighton to 12% and still lose. :D

Creighton has yet to play well or beat St. John's in NYC. And, we have yet to play well in a true road game this season. So, I am not handing this one to Creighton, regardless of St. John's performances so far this year. Until our guys show they can play well enough on both sides of the ball to win a game on the road, I don't think they can be favored, let alone called a heavy favorite.

Creighton played well at Oklahoma- just Oklahoma is a darn good team. St John's is the worst team you've seen on the road this year.

Yeah, SH/Marquette is the big one. The first two games will be about attempting to hold serve by protecting home court.
