Coach Greg St. Jean is Mullin's X and O guy. He was hired from th Sacremento Kings where he was the player development coach. You will see him drawing up many of the plays during the time outs and Mullin is very high on him as a play guy. Mullin is neither disinterested or incompetent.

MUBoxer I find it hilarious that you are calling out Nova for not performing in the tourney yet Marquette has yet to earn a single tourney credit for this conference. If SHU makes the dance this year, you guys will join DePaul as the ONLY BE teams yet to contribute. There's a saying about people in glass houses...

In the short term, a win over Syracuse right now is huge. The ACC is looking to get into the NYC market and Syracuse is the key to that. Syracuse is the only reason ESPN and the ACC want MSG for it's tourny. Yes beating Kansas is a great win for DePaul, but you are talking about a time when we had sixteen schools and five ranked in the top 25 at the season's end and 8 bids to the dance (a record at that time). You're analogy is wrong because the perception of the now big east is that the "hottie" that left us is the best we will ever do again. The perception is that without the Syracuse hottie, no other hotties will ever be interested again. Has DePaul played Kansas since 2007? It's not like Kansas is playing them every year. Syracuse is a rival for several schools in a way Kansas will never be. I'm sure Duke fans want to beat a down Carolina more than a surging UCLA.

100% correct. MUBoxer is a 25 yr old kid from the Midwest who doesn't fully grasp the northeast college hoops landscape and the significance of beating Cuse.

Heck, Nova beat UCLA in one of those NIT years that MUBoxer thinks is so praise worthy.

MUBoxer, I like that you don't think Cuse is that big a deal, and hopefully the rest of the nation catches on. But for Nova, GTown and St. John's, the work needs to be done in the trenches to keep Cuse down. And that's much more important than a NIT team beating another national program in a down year (or time, like right after they lose to Oral Roberts).

I see 25yr old kid? what is with your patronizing thing you're into? We're you still in college and had some perfect life that made you not have to mature at 25 so you were still a kid? i admit I don't understand NE hoops, but at least I can respect it and try to understand it. Meanwhile you make no attempt at understanding other areas hoops you just blindly hate and ignore any small success of a downtrodden team.

I'm done having this conversation everybody knows there's some sort of psychotic hatred you have toward DePaul and that its BS that you downplay any small achievement they've had and blow minor achievements wayyy out of proportion for the east schools.

First our old tourney credits are still paying to this new conference and we came in with the most so we technically have earned tourney credits for the conference. But why are you bringing Marquette into this? I'm not criticizing or out to attack Nova, the history, the current success or anything. I am objectively pointing out that he is holding Novas tournament chokes to a different standard than depauls.

I have no interest in joining this generally pointless argument, but as Boxer stated above MU's tournament credits are still paying out and for this year we have the same number as Nova. I have cited evidence of this before, but I'm not interested in digging through my old posts to find the link. I don't think there is any point in giving Nova, the most consistent team in the first few years of this conference, crap about the NCAA tourney. I respect and appreciate what Nova has done for the conference thus far. I am only posting to correct an error.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

That is very obvious at this point.

Learn to respect what made the big east great. It wasn't minor league Midwest cites. We need to own the garden.

Btw, I don't hate DePaul. I wish they contributed something. I have nothing against the Midwest schools. I never talk bad about the other 4. DePaul is a dumpster fire.
