During timeouts and end of game situations Mullin isn't even talking with the players or drawing up plays with the clipboard. What's the deal there? On TV he looked disinterested or incompetent or maybe both.

I don't know how much weight you think Syracuse put on but whatever. In the short term, a win over Syracuse right now is huge. The ACC is looking to get into the NYC market and Syracuse is the key to that. Syracuse is the only reason ESPN and the ACC want MSG for it's tourny. Yes beating Kansas is a great win for DePaul, but you are talking about a time when we had sixteen schools and five ranked in the top 25 at the season's end and 8 bids to the dance (a record at that time). You're analogy is wrong because the perception of the now big east is that the "hottie" that left us is the best we will ever do again. The perception is that without the Syracuse hottie, no other hotties will ever be interested again. Has DePaul played Kansas since 2007? It's not like Kansas is playing them every year. Syracuse is a rival for several schools in a way Kansas will never be. I'm sure Duke fans want to beat a down Carolina more than a surging UCLA.
100% correct. MUBoxer is a 25 yr old kid from the Midwest who doesn't fully grasp the northeast college hoops landscape and the significance of beating Cuse.
Heck, Nova beat UCLA in one of those NIT years that MUBoxer thinks is so praise worthy.
MUBoxer, I like that you don't think Cuse is that big a deal, and hopefully the rest of the nation catches on. But for Nova, GTown and St. John's, the work needs to be done in the trenches to keep Cuse down. And that's much more important than a NIT team beating another national program in a down year (or time, like right after they lose to Oral Roberts).

If SHU makes the dance this year, you guys will join DePaul as the ONLY BE teams yet to contribute. There's a saying about people in glass houses...
