Extremely boneheaded play by Duane. The shot-clock differential was still 6 seconds, but you take some time and work clock. You can get fouled, you can get an easy bucket, you can call your last timeout to talk about everything. That was a freshman mistake - expected by Carter, Chetham, Amin, Heldt, Ellenson or even Cohen (sophomore) - but definitely not Wilson who has been playing for two seasons now and practicing for three. Thankfully, it didn't cost them the game - but he needs to start playing smarter and under control.

Johnnies covered the 1st half spread today, only down 11 to Indiana. Progress?

Nice game so far for the Johnnies. I don't expect St. John's to get more than 12-13 wins this season, so hanging with Indiana is a good sign for them after yesterday.

It was definitely progress after yesterdays game. They played hard even after being down double digits right out of the gate. They need to improve the interior defense among other things, but Rome wasn't built in a day. I was happy with the improvement today.

I texted my dad and sister (both MU grads) as soon as that shot went up - dumb, dumb, dumb. He should still be running suicides for that bonehead play.

As it should've been. That was an idiotic play that almost cost them the game.

Marquette has a chance to win the tournament. Wouldn't have guessed that a week ago. Also, these refs suck both ways.
