I'd love to know the last time someone had 20 rebounds in 40 minutes. Holy cow.

Happy for the win, but this team is giving me fits. Lose by almost 30 at home, beat a top 25 team on a neutral court. Eh, freshmen.

We have got to work on our free throw shooting.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Classic ESPN. Jay Williams and Greenbubble are talking about the losing team and not the winning team. What a joke!

I'd work on not turning it over also. Only saw the last 3:30, but Marquette must have had 6-7 turnovers in that time and that's not mentioning Wilson's(?) ill advised 3 pointer with 20 some seconds on the shot clock and only 30 seconds left in the game.

Get r done Marquette. Espn won't say it. But Fischer was the most important player tonight. He is great.

Being a Friar fan, this one came to mind (1994) because I was at the game:

They just updated the stat sheet - Simmons finished with 15 boards (not 20). Still - an impressive stat nevertheless.

When Ellenson fouled out, the team played scared and not to lose - and it showed immensely. No one wanted the ball on the press, and everyone backed off to avoid touching the ball. LSU felt this and double and triple teamed the ball at every chance. Duane Wilson, for the second time this season, hoists up an unnecessary three pointer that could have cost us the win. Although it's only his second year playing, he's a redshirt sophomore - he needs to figure this out.

Marquette badly needed this win (national television, ranked opponent). Happy we got it, but there is a tremendous amount of work to be done. Yes, we are mostly freshmen, but the group's collective basketball IQ is very low - the 22 turnovers are an example of this.

Bottom line, the win should give the group confidence, which is what the team needs more than anything right now.

Congrats to Marquette. I knew this team was too talented to keep losing. Not surprising at all. You guys just beat a totally loaded LSU squad. They are better than 22nd. They might be the 10th best team when all said and done. We need Marquette to get back in the national picture for the conference. This helps greatly!
