Looks like we have a fair amount of interest, so I am currently getting the league set up. In the mean time, I will give you a rundown of the basic league rules.

1. You must start two guards, two forwards and one center each week. You are then allowed to start one flex/utility player each week (they can play any position). You MUST start one freshman each week (weird rule I know, but they implemented it on their site, and it makes things really interesting). There are some players that can be started in two different positions. You will see something like this in the interface: "G-F." A "G-F" can play guard or forward. There are also "F-C." They can play forward or center. This exists because some players play ambiguous positions. Ochefu is one example. He is listed as F-C on their site.
2. Draft is "snaked style," and it will start online at 10:00am EDT on October 22nd. You have 12 hours to make a pick once you are on the clock (please don't take this long though, or we will run out of time before the season starts). You can set up auto-draft if you can't escape for a few minutes while at work or something. We will do ten rounds of drafts, so you will have ten players in total.
3. You face another player in the league every week (like every type of fantasy). You can get up to four "wins" per week. You get a win by winning a category against your opponent for that week. The categories are points, rebounds+blocks and steals+assists. If you win all three categories, you get an extra "win." If you tie with another player for a category, neither player gets a "win." For example: Your players get 128 points, 87 blocks+rebounds and 12 assists+steals for a week. Your opponents gets 118 points, 92 blocks+rebounds and 14 assists+steals. Your record would be 1-2 for that week. If you tie with another player, neither player gets the win. I've had a week where I went 0-2 because I lost two categories and tied in the third. Theoretically, you could go 0-0 if you tie every category (doubt it has ever happened).
4. On the note of points, it is in your best interest to not only start your best players, but to consider how many games they are playing that week (it will say in the interface how many games they have the upcoming week and their projected fantasy points for the week).
5. There is a playoff system at the end of the regular season. Everyone is eligible. You are seeded based on your "regular season" record.
6. You are allowed 2 adds/drops per week. The free agent list will not be terribly big because we have so few players to choose from.

I will DM each of you the league password once the league is set up. If you haven't said you were interested yet, just say so in the comments section in this thread. Since we don't have a ton of players in the Big East, we will split into two divisions if a lot of people sign up.

I hope this answers everything. Like anything, you kinda need to see the interface to fully understand it. There will be a full list of rules on the website once the league is set up. Feel free to ask any questions in the time being.

Still trying to get this set up. Sorry for the delay. I've been exchanging emails with the fantasy site admins, and they've been a little slow getting to my last email.

Alright, the league is set up. I sent out the password to 11 of you, which is plenty for the league. I know some of you were on the fence about joining the league. I definitely don't need bodies, so don't feel like you have to join if you don't want to.

I'm assuming most of you don't have a FCBLZone.com account, so you will have to do that first. It is 100% free to sign up. It's pretty straight forward once you are on the site. When you have an account, log in to the site, and you will be taken to a fairly plain homepage. You will see a link that takes you to the league sign up page. You will see "Holy Land of Hoops Big East League." Obviously, this is our league. When prompted, put in the password I sent you in the DM. It should probably take you five minutes in total to get signed up for the league.

I'm gonna give you guys 24 hours to get into the draft room since we are kinda running out of time before the draft time. Draft order will be set late tomorrow afternoon.

On our league homepage, you can see a full list of rules, draft instructions, etc.

As one final FYI, let's try to use the same usernames we have on HolyLandofHoops.com. It will easier to keep track of who's who. Looking forward to the draft on Thursday!

Six of us have signed up for the league. I'll give you guys a few more hours to sign up. I'm shooting for two more signups.

Is there a reason the draft is at 10am on a Thursday? I won't be able to draft at that time as I will be working in the hospital. I can't just log on to a computer to draft during work. Is there anyway we could draft in the evening or on a weekend?

You have 12 hours to make a draft pick. So realistically this draft process is probably going to take all weekend.
