FS1 will air Oklahoma State vs. Florida on December 19th in the Orange Bowl Classic. I sure hope FS1 decides to air more basketball tournaments. ESPN seems to have a monopoly on them.

Sounds like FS1 will televise the Las Vegas Invitational again this year on November 26/27 featuring San Diego State, Cal, West Virginia and Richmond.

Help me out, since I don't follow UFC. Is this title match that would be on pay per view most of the time?

This is a pretty big matchup, it would normally be on PPV or at worst, FOX. First ever title match on FS1.

Correct. Dominick Cruz was the champion a couple years ago, never lost his belt but got stripped of it when he kept getting injured. Dillashaw has been a solid champion but it's hard to consider him 100% legitimate when he never beat the true champion. This fight has a interesting background, and if they get Anthony Pettis v. Eddie Alvarez lined up they will have a solid and exciting top two fights. My guess is the rest of the card gets filled out with mid-tier fighters but a championship bout, especially one with a "return of the champ" storyline would usually be a pay per view.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

I am very hopeful, almost certain, this will never happen to us however it has happened to C-USA in football on FS1.

Fox Sports 1 has hit a new low. Well of course it is C-USA but still. Below are comments from the Realignment board on the broadcast.

FS1 has announcers in Los Angeles calling La Tech-Western Kentucky U. game (football)
That's right. Guys are sitting in a Fox studio in LA doing play-by-play of a game being played in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

That is both cheap and low-quality.
Cheap: how much does it cost to fly 2 guys into Nashville, rent a car for a drive to Bowling Green, KY ... 3 nights at a hotel and all the incidentals? $5,000 tops?

Low-quality: I can tell, the commentary just isn't as good as it would be with somebody there live. The players deserve a bit better too. This is one of the rare times they are the only college football game on TV, it's probably a tape they'd like to keep as they get older, but it's a lower-quality TV broadcast they'll be getting.

I only watched a few minutes tonight, but it had the same feel as watching NFL Red Zone where the guy in the studio narrates the action. Except, of course, that FS1 was not switching around through six games at once.

I can't imagine them doing this to us or at any college football or basketball game. I hope I am right.

Supposedly ESPN has done this for some games. Agree though, kinda cheap.

interesting looking at the title game- on at 7pm PT/10pm ET- means the Big East game would start no later than 8pm. Didn't it start last year at 830pm?
