the thing that is scary is if Villanova does do this- and eventually into the p5. How does Fox react? Do they significantly lower our money? Do they make it where we pretty much have to go to 12?

There is lterally ZERO chance that happens.

But do you think Fox would sit back losing Nova and do nothing? Let us replace with 1 and keep the money the same? I don't see losing Nova and picking up Dayton/SLU/ whoever and Fox being happy at all.

let me say this. I don't think Nova leaves. But if they do, it's real big problems for the conference. Nova is a huge linchpin in the conference. Probably along with St John's and Georgetown- the most important program in the league.

For Stever it's Always 2012, waiting for the BE apocalypse. Villanova has as great a shot in joining the P5 as Fresno State.

The question though is, why would Villanova make this move for this particular AD if they weren't going for football on a much bigger scale? That's the only way with a guy with his resume that the move makes sense. Like I said last night, this move is very curious. Way more questions than answers.

That would be good. :)

It's going to be really interesting to see the next few years. I do think the ACC is desperate as they don't have anyone from UVA(which is barely DC market) all the way up to BC. Nova would really fit in that regard. But it makes so little sense otherwise.

Or maybe he was truly the best guy for the job. i'm sure his skills translate beyond dealing with only football.

if you want to see ulterior motives, then the perhaps the question should be why would he apply for the job? did any other candidate have a similar football background? that might be more indicative of villanova's plans.
