BEST IN CONF - PG

1. Dunn - PC
2. Garrett Jr. - DePaul
3. Brunson - VU
4. Lewis - Butler
5. Watson - CU
6. Campbell - G'twn
7. Sumner - X
8. Carter - Marq
9. Who's playing PG at the Hall next year?
10. Whoever replaces Jordan at SJU

Outside of Dunn, Garrett, and Brunson the league is a little thin at PG this year. That's usually not a good thing come tourney time. Lewis will probably fit that scrappy Butler mold well. He might end up being an upgrade for them actually. Everyone else takes a step backwards IMO.

I left both Archidiacono and DSR as 2 G's. I know some will say both should be considered as PG's but I think both will play more at the 2 this year. I think in Nova's guard happy style Brunson is going to be a monster.

Arch and DSR as 2's? Maybe I am not remembering correctly, but they were both both played PG all year right?

I guess it remains to be seen if DSR plays the majority of the time at the point for G'town. In their offense I'm not sure there is a traditional PG anyway. When I watch DSR I still see the best 2G in the league who happens to bring the ball up the court at times.

In Nova's case I find it extremely hard to imagine that Brunson, considered by most to be THE best pure HS PG in the nation, will just spend a year as Arch's under study. He's just way too talented to not be on the floor--a lot. I think it will be similar to the Duke situation with Tyus Jones and Q. Cook in which Cook slid over and Jones took over primary ball handling responsibilities.

Are you counting Carlino as Marquette's PG? Cause that'd be wrong or you'd have to count Duane Wilson too then. Carter will be an upgrade to Derrick Wilson, who allows every D to play 5 on 4.

That is how I view DSR as well. He's probably the best 2 in the conference. It will be good for his career prospects if he is able to show the ability to step up and be a more effective/active PG than a 2G, though.

On a separate note, whats the feeling among Seton Hall fans right now. Will Whitehead get canned next year if they miss the tourney? What do people think of Whitehead?

You must've meant will Willard get canned, if Seton Hall misses the tournament.

Whoops, yea, Willard. Unless he decides to delegate coaching duties to Whitehead.
