Rothstein tweeted that Duke will be playing a neutral site game at MSG in December. Rumored opponent is Villanova. That will be a fantastic game and hopefully on Fox.

it would be a major upset for it to be on Fox. And in a lot of ways, it's better for the Big East if it's on ESPN. Would draw a much bigger audience.

For Nova- they're running out of space on the schedule...
Nebraska
Preseason NIT(4 games)
Oklahoma
Big 5(4 games)
Syracuse(@ MSG)
right there is 11 games already with only Nebraska, 2 NIT games, 2 Big 5 games(LaSalle, Penn) at home. I don't know if they would take another neutral site game and leave them with only 6 home OOC games.

Wouldn't consider it a major upset. Fox had the Duke vs St. JOHNS game this last season.

That's a home game for St John's. Huge difference between a home game for a conference and a neutral site game like this would be.

Syracuse was only a two year home and home, not on the schedule this year, and a csn Philly reporter tweeted Nova isn't Duke's opponent according to a source within the Big East.

Was using the schedule from the site on this thread. I know there had been some thought that it was a 1-1-1 deal(which made a lot of sense) just looking online.

Not really surprised about Nova not being the team vs Duke.

Think this shows how easy it is for schools to get games in NYC. For those on here that thought that any school could get shut out of NYC- even if they aren't playing St John's- pretty much this proves that is a joke. Which is why St John's not playing that team to try to keep them out of the city is really cutting off the nose to spite the face.

Stever hearts espn

I don't get tha "shut out of nyc" comment. This is Duke, defending national champ and biggest brand in the sport. Yeah, I guess this proves that nyc games are easy to get and that any team can get nyc exposure (if that's some argument stever is having with someone).

There were some folks on here that think that St John's shouldn't schedule a team like a Syracuse thinking they're going to shut out Syracuse from NYC. With all the exempt tournaments along with the neutral site games- that just doesn't happen...

As far as ESPN- for individual teams you are darn right it's better to be on a network that will drive an audience of 1-2 million compared to a game on FS1 where the best audience possible is 500k. For the conference that means so much more.
