Hey Florida, I hear this Kevin Willard guy is an excellent coach. Seriously, just ask Rick Pitino! You should do whatever it takes to get him!

Really with the _avier stuff? You realize you are on Xavier's conference message board, not the other way around.

I wouldn't rule out any high-major coach that isn't at a powerhouse program. Florida has the money, fan base, and is a destination job.

They have the money all right, but not the fan base at all.

Just looking, Florida was #31 in attendance in 2013-14 season(last one I see figures for). 11,471. That's a pretty good fan base. No real competition for basketball fans there either right now.

UD could rehire Oliver Purnell. I hear he's available. :P

Dunno.

Greggg Marshall is too old (52 or 53) and articles I've seen state Florida usually looks for young coaches - on the way up.
Wouldn't think Mack would bite the bait as Xavier is a destination job now? who knows?
Probably Miller or White will get the nod.

PS - Syracuse draws better (snowbird) basketball crowds and fan support in Florida than does any in-state school. Shocking to
see all the orange-clad, pale, arrogant, S'cuse heads throwing their weight and money around in Tampa. Acting as if they owned the place.

Football is still king in Florida too. Basketball begins in January for Floridians.
"First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win." - Nicholas Klein (1918)
"Top tier teams rarely have true "down" years and find a way to stay relevant every year." - Adoraz

I think that's the big question now. Is Xavier really viewed as a destination job now?

Mack has spent 22 of the last 25 years in Cincinnati. It would have to be one heck of an offer to get him to leave, IMO.
