It's the truth. Villanova football fans are holding a rally to knock down the Pavilion so that Villanova can get rid of basketball completely and expand the football stadium.

Mack would take the job if offered, I would be willing to bet that. I would assume Archie is ahead of him on the list though and I also believe he would take the job if offered. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

I don't know if Miller would be ahead of Mack. I think the fact that Mack coached in the Big East the last 2 years would help him out there- along with all the NCAA tourney success he's had. Also the success other X coaches have had outside of X would be a major plus to me I would think(the same isn't all that true for guys that leave Dayton). Me personally I would look at Mack way before Miller.

Pitino and White? Thats a pretty crappy list.

White wouldn't be half bad. Not a great tournament coach but has LA tech as a pretty decent mid major.

Pitino is solely getting by on his name right now.

Jeff Goodman from ESPN had a list of candidates. top 2-
Archie Miller, Dayton: He's become a hot commodity over the past two seasons after an Elite Eight run in 2014 and getting back to the NCAA tourney with a small, thin roster this past year. He's got the bloodlines with his brother, Sean, at Arizona -- and also played in the south at NC State. Miller has four starters back and will be picky about where he eventually goes, but Gainesville is certainly intriguing enough to give a hard look.

Chris Mack, Xavier: His resume is extremely impressive, going to the Sweet 16 in three of his six seasons since taking over after Sean Miller left for Arizona. He's high-energy and has a 134-71 record in his tenure. Mack has spurned jobs in the past few years, but Florida could get him to make a move.

and his choice amongst all the others(a lot of the same names that have been bandied about here- Pitino, White, Grant, Pelphrey)-
Mack or Miller: Foley can't go wrong with either guy. They are both fairly young, get after it and both are proven -- both as coaches and also as recruiters. The relationship with Foley is critical, and both would connect well with him. I also think they would ultimately take the job despite both being at quality spots now.

He has a nice recruiting class including a player that committed to Georgetown prior.

I know he's not a big name but White would be a great hire.

For the conference, hopefully Mack doesn't get offered.

Ironic in that X would once again screw over dayton by having their coach finish 2nd in the Florida Sweepstakes. LOL. And yes, I do think Mack would take this job, and X would hire Travis Steele as his replacement.
