Cincinnati and Butler arranging H&H Series

Cincy has some good things going on on the riverfront with the banks. They need to tear down the US Bank and make something new that UC can use along with conventions/cyclones/concerts etc.

UC will be okay next season but they have no proven scorers so they won't be great. It is not a bad home and home series for either school.

UC would make a huge mistake if they moved their home games off campus. UC has a very fair weather fan base that is already disinterested in their head coach and league. If you move the games off campus, UC's attendance would suffer greatly.

As a Cincinnatian, I would love to see a 20-25K seat multipurpose arena downtown to replace US Bank Arena but it simply is not going to happen anytime soon. Basically, no one wants to pay for it, including tax payers.

It is a shame they didn't enclose PBS when it was built. That space could have been used for so many other things with a roof, including men's hoops final fours, concerts and conventions.

I agree that the city of Cincinnati has screwed up and is paying for it big time in revenue.

UC might get ranked due to winning against a pretty weak schedule but they won't be all that good in reality. One and done in the NCAA's.

UC was good last year and they were young as hell. They should only be better this year.

They get pretty much everyone back which means they still have a bunch of guys who can't shoot. They play great defense if they just had one or two guys who could knock down shots consistently they could be a top 20 team. I expect a similar result of last years team. Average.

I believe we had a better team than UC last year. Our win over them proves it but our records do not.

UC won 24 games and lost 11, our muskies won 23 and if my memory is correct lost 13. True we went further in the dance than they did however if they are AVERAGE then so are we! We did have a rough patch late in the season last year but we definitely were not average and neither was UC.

I have no real idea what either team will do next season and we likely will not know until the crosstown classic. I do believe that the classic should be held at the banks arena each year. When it is at Cintas we have a big advantage and when it is at the UC arena they have a big advantage. At the banks arena it is evened out and because of the strange way the NCAA counts wins at neutral sites there is an advantage to winning at the banks greater than winning at home.

There is more to a seaon than wins and losses. XU played a much better schedule than UC and had much better wins overall on the year.

XU finished strong but they were average or slightly above average for most of the year. UC was indeed very average last season and I expect them to have a lot of wins next year due to a weak schedule but UC will probably just be average again next year unless they find a way to score the ball better.
