I think they maybe didn't want to be in, but with Butler and Seton Hall already in the exempt tournaments that start on Thursday, there was no getting around them getting left out.
Its interesting- I think the exempt tournaments are going to be a major problem with these games. I mean for whoever plays on that Friday- will be going up against-
Butler playing in SF of Puerto Rico Tournament(likely vs Miami, Miss St, Temple, or Utah)
Seton Hall playing in SF of Charleston Tournament (likely vs Ole Miss, Oklahoma St, or Virginia)
Georgetown in the 2k sports classic SF (vs Wisconsin/VCU/Duke)
DePaul in Paradise Jam
So whoever is in the Gavitt games that Friday may be the 4th best Big East game of the night.
