with Creighton in now- I think it's pretty obvious the 2 BE teams that won't be in are Butler and Seton Hall(the 2 teams that are in exempt tournaments starting that Thursday).

Nebraska @ Villanova
Rutgers @ St John's
Creighton @ Indiana
Xavier @ Michigan

so left for us if my assumption is right- Georgetown, Providence, Marquette, DePaul

Indiana will obviously be favored, but it's a good match up for us! We should be much improved next year. We'd better be, it looks like we might have 6 games (One game depends on preseason tournament scheduling) against football 5 conference teams before the BE conference schedule starts! Great to be in the BE!!

I thought Creighton fans repeatedly said that they would not be participating in this event this year?

That's what everyone said, but you know message boards! I think there was a good source for that originally, but things obviously changed.

I think they maybe didn't want to be in, but with Butler and Seton Hall already in the exempt tournaments that start on Thursday, there was no getting around them getting left out.

Its interesting- I think the exempt tournaments are going to be a major problem with these games. I mean for whoever plays on that Friday- will be going up against-
Butler playing in SF of Puerto Rico Tournament(likely vs Miami, Miss St, Temple, or Utah)
Seton Hall playing in SF of Charleston Tournament (likely vs Ole Miss, Oklahoma St, or Virginia)
Georgetown in the 2k sports classic SF (vs Wisconsin/VCU/Duke)
DePaul in Paradise Jam

So whoever is in the Gavitt games that Friday may be the 4th best Big East game of the night.

Well They got 1 match up right.

Georgetown will play Maryland location not known but probably at

Here's the rest of the slate:
Xavier @ Michigan
Creighton @ Ind
Rutgers @ St. John's
Ill @ Prov
Neb @ Nova
Penn St vs DePaul not sure of location
Iowa vs Marquette not sure of location

So basically you have 1 Great match up, 1 good match up in Xavier @ Michigan and then a bunch of mediocre to bad match ups.
