Anyone know how much NCAA tourney pays to schools?

I saw that the college Div 1A football playoff and the 39 bowls payed out 505.9 million dollars to the football schools and their conferences in 2015. Does anyone know or even have a good idea how much the NCAA Division 1 basketball tourney will (or has) paid off to the college basketball schools?

I realize that the football/basketball schools will be double dipping because they take part in both sports but would be especially interested in knowing how much basketball schools make from the tourney. Looking for totals only. Thanks

The NCAA pays conferences, not schools from its basketball fund.

1.4 million per team per game (if I remember right). I don't know the exact total, but you can do the math. Each conference has a different way of splitting up the revenue - the A10 let's those schools who make the tournament keep 70% of the proceeds. Not sure of the Big East, again this is all based off memory.

Thanks to all. I appreciate the information. Now I know why many schools do not want to drop football even if they have very bad records.
