You guys do play in Charleston Classic starting that Thursday. So that could easily be legit. Would kind of think Butler may then be the 2nd team out, as they play in San Juan starting on Thursday.

I think the Creighton AD said they weren't playing the first year or maybe it was just sources on the creighton board that they weren't playing.

You would have to think it was just sources on the Creighton board. I can't imagine Butler playing on Tuesday and then flying to San Juan for a Thursday game. Big East/Big Ten teams that play in San Juan just going to be tough to have them in the challenge with the timing.

The Big Ten could send Nebraska, Penn State, Northwestern and Rutgers to BE schools who are predicted to finish at the top (although PC would be locked into one of these home games).
Our predicted bottom 4 schools could play at the top Big Ten arenas.

The problem for the Big Ten is that the BE has good teams throughout.

1 thing to add to that is I think you're going to find that Michigan St(with already having a tough game in that champions classic- this year vs Kansas)- isn't going to want to play one of the Big East heavyweights as well.

With that timing, there's a pretty good chance that Michigan State won't participate in the challenge at all this year.

It's a yearly classic that Michigan St is in. They're at least committed to 2 more years of it.

So Rutgers is gonna play an eastern Big East team on the road? Whoever is negotiating these games for Fox needs to be fired ASAP.

1 thing to kind of put in the back of your mind- Big Ten Network will also get I think like 2 of the Big Ten home games. So may see 2 of our better teams playing over there as well.

I think part of the problem was that we didn't want to play whomever we played at the Wells Fargo Center, as we are limiting our games there next year because it is a NCAA tourney venue. So, whatever team we played had to be willing to come to the Pavilion, a much tougher place to play.

Now, why we didn't just start on the road, no idea. A visit to Madison would always be welcome in the letsgonova household.

Pirates host Wichita State, USF and Georgia at home. The Pirates play at GWU and Rutgers. They also play at the Charleston Classic which includes UVA, Ok St and some other solid squads.

So weren't they supposed to be announced today?

Based on the one leaked match up I'm expecting the rest of the matchups to be released after 5pm on a Friday.
