Also being reported that Billy Garrett, Sr. will stay on as part of the new staff.

Starting to sound like DePaul asked Hurley and/or Drew to keep BG, Sr. around in order to keep BJ, Jr. on the team, and they both said "no". Leitao must have said "yes".

I've also seen it suggested that Leitao and Garrett, Sr. at DePaul would put them in a strong position to land 2015 PG Marcus LoVett from Morgan Park HS... who, to be fair... would probably be a better recruit than anyone Purnell landed with the possible exception of Billy Garrett, Jr.

SJU just got used by the other Hurley. He just signed a long contract with URI. Now if we don't get Masiello or Mullin to coach, I will be very, very disappointed.

Garrett Jr. only has two years left. Hurley or Drew could be around for many years to come. I don't get that line of thinking.

So if it was DePaul's goal to get a coach that experienced success at the school, why choose Leitao over Joey Meyer?

On the bright side, he's got a higher winning percentage in the ACC and two more NCAA Tournament wins than our previous head coach.
