unfortunately I don't think this gets out this far without there being some legs about it.

Since Joey Meyer left in 1996-97, Leitao does have 2 of the 4 20 win seasons, and also the only NCAA win.

I sort of think DePaul may look at him as being the safe candidate.

in Ken Pom when he was at DePaul before....
his teams were below average shooters- but what is interesting here are the raw numbers/national ranks-
2003- 48.4 #210
2004- 51.3- #80
2005- 49.3- #172
compare to this year 50.7- #92
amazing how much worse shooting has gotten in 10 years....
his teams were really good on the glass....
2003- off 38.5% #30/ def 29.9%- #14
2004- 37.8% #35/32.8% #118
2005 38.4% #30/30.7% #42
compare to this year-
2015- 27.4% #292/35.5% #332

similar to Purnell before this year, his teams didn't use the 3 ball much- down in the 24-30% range.

one thing his teams did very well was not let teams go to the line-
2003- 34.5%- #114
2004- 32.1% -#58
2005- 34.0% #113
compare to this year
2015- 48.7% #334

so some of the things that DePaul wasn't good at before, his teams at DePaul were very good at.
