I don't know much about them and I could be wrong about it but hiring either Aguirre, Strickland, Corbin, or Leitao would be a disaster. Need an experienced head coach who's also young and energetic and wants to wake this sleeping giant up. Chicago ties are nice but not absolutely needed. Just my 2 cents.

Tommy Amaker. He has the right background to compete with Wojo and Chris Collins and he is a proven D1 head coach. He has had some level of success at each stop. His success was not always what the fan base wanted, but he is proven. He has the right blood lines. Any level of improvement for DePaul right now would be progress for them.

Well we can now take out Archie since he's been extended at Dayton. Amaker is very interesting and I really like that name too. I'm also wondering why LeVelle Morton from NC Central or Brad Underwood at SFA or Michael White from LA Tech aren't getting any mentions.
Bryce Drew and Bobby Hurley each want the DePaul men's basketball job "badly," according to a source.
Both were scheduled to interview this weekend — Hurley on Saturday and Drew on Sunday — according to sources.
The two are considered the top two targets in the search that began after Oliver Purnell resigned earlier this month after five seasons.

DePaul brought in Tulsa assistant Dave Leitao and is seriously considering hiring back the former head coach, multiple sources told ESPN.
