That's why single elimination tournaments aren't the best way of deciding the "best team in the country." Sure they're exciting for fans and easier to manage than anything else, but they don't really determine who the "best team" is. I hope this tournament never dies. Greatest 4 day weekend in sports. You are spot on about "fairness" but I really couldn't care less.

Dude that ship has sailed. Unless butler or X makes final 4 it will redeem us but the stories all week will be about what a bust the BE was and how we're weak like our critics said the last 2 years. And unfortunately we've proven them right. It's gonna be a feeding frenzy.
