I think PC will win but I am not totally confident. Dayton did just make their E8 run last year so they have players with NCAA tournament experience. And they have won 26 games this year so its not like they are some slouch. I just hope that Cooley reminds the team that they can be the first PC team to win an NCAA game since 1997. I think with so many players likely playing their last games (Dunn, Henton, Desrosiers etc.) they will get the win. But it ain't called March Madness for nothing.

They also get to play in Columbus. And Dayton fans are like locusts, they will turn out in droves. I still remember the crowd they brought to San Juan a number of years back.

I'm guessing that a hyped up crowd will help Providence as much as it will help Dayton. I don't think we can underestimate how bitter the loss to Villanova in the BE tournament was for the PC players. I expect. Them to be highly motivated and out for blood.

new start time right now is 10:45. the Albany/Oklahoma game tipping off at 8:17- so the PC game might not tip before 11pm.

They really need to look into moving up a smidge the start times. It seems a little bit later year by year by year. This is close to the old 11:30 west coast start time that we used to see years ago in the NCAA tourney....

I'm trying to look past my bias but I really can't see Dayton coming within 10. Not the same team as last year and they are extremely thin on the bench. Providence will have more size and depth to wear them down.

I have learned better than to predict these things. They are both at large NCAA teams. In my mind that means they can beat anybody.

Dayton fans i met at a URI game were really nice. They seem to really like and respect college hoops. Talented team. I think we should win if we don't have one of our zombie-like Brown games, but it should be competitive game, and anything can happen.

You know, during our Duke NCAA win in 97, i might have made a deal with the devil in mid 2nd half, saying if we won that game i didn't need another PC NCAA win for 10 years. Then during our following Sweet 16 game vs the Tenn Chattanooga Mocs i may have said if we won and made the Elite-8 i didn't need another NCAA win for 20 years. But I didn't think that it would really happen like that in reality. Point is, i am just ready for a freakin NCAA win...!
