What's dominating OOC is what a conference like the Big 12 did. Went 103-22 OOC. That's why they have 2,3,3,3,5 seeds- along with a 9 and a 11. As a conference, we had 6 wins against at large level teams(so counting a team like ND with an auto bid) in the tourney. Big 12 had 10 such wins.

We may have been #2 conference- but look at the seeds-
#1 Big 12- 2,3,3,3,5,9,11
#2 Big East 1,4,6,6,6,9
#3 ACC 1,2,3,4,4,8
#4 Big Ten 1,4,7,7,9,10,10
#5 SEC 1,5,9,10,11
#6 Pac 12 2,5,8,11

We didn't get the respect the ACC got. Part of that is what the ACC teams did OOC. Virginia- 3 wins OOC vs AL, Duke 3, ND 2, Lou 2, UNC 3, NC St 1. 14 wins with those 6 teams. As a conference, BE was ahead of the ACC, but that's because of your VT, GT, BC, etc. teams dragging the conference down.

And yes, I realize that even if it was legal, it'd probably be banned by the NCAA. Marijuana isn't a PED, it's a handicap. Just like beer is in softball.

Spot on, Doge. They put these kids through a grueling schedule with more games being played now than ever before. A kid smokes a little marijuana to relax and bam! They slap him with a 2 game suspension. Heck, it's only a one game for fighting.

Obekpa is an adult (21 years old).he should be allowed to make his own choices about what he wants to smoke. The police would treat this as a misdemeanor even in a state where it's illegal. Hardly a major issue.

The marijuana law is one of the dumbest laws on the books. We have prison cells full of people who violated this law at great cost to society and to the individuals. Why? To keep society safe? From what? Too much laughter? Completely ridiculous.

I think in NYC you only get a ticket for weed nowadays, so its really the NCAA that is making this more than it should be.
