They give us E. Washington in Portland? If we're a 4 seed aren't we supposed to get Geographic protection? How do we have to play a team that's 5 hrs from the site and we have to fly across the country?!

Oh and they have the leading scorer in the country and shoot 39.6% from 3. Meanwhile we're 253rd in defending the 3. Ugh.

Add to that they over seed us as a 4 seed to make our humiliation even worse. f--- me.

c'mon man, don't be afraid of a school I didn't even know played D1 bball

That's what they said about FGCU too.

PC, Georgetown, and nova def have the best roads.

Xavier and butler got put in tough spots but I believe in them.

SJU can beat SDSU IMO but that's probably as far as it goes without obekpa. If SJU catches fire from 3 and okafor gets some lazy fouls maybe they pull off a shocker but one win for SJU and I'd call it a success

I like the Hoya's draw, even if it's in Portland. Big East need's no less than 2 teams getting to the sweet 16. Nobody has it easy. Obviously Villanova has the easiest path, but NC State can be dangerous.

It doesn't make sense to improve their seed or leave them out completely just to avoid that. However, what's ridiculous, is sending them to Columbus for the 2nd and 3rd rounds should they make it that far. Providence is way better and should win anyway, but they're getting royally screwed likely having to play a road game (for all intents and purposes) against an 11 seed in their first game.

The bracketing rules explicitly state that only teams on top 4 seed lines get such protection against home crowds. And before the Georgetown fans chime in, no, Portland is in no way, shape or form considered a home crowd for Eastern Washington. It's nearly 300 miles away from their campus and the rule is more designed for big teams rather than the Eastern Washingtons of the world anyway. How many fans does Eastern Washington have? Will they have more fans there than Georgetown? Obviously. Does that make it unfair? No. You have to play these games somewhere.

Every team can complain about a certain seed/matchup etc. But lets make it clear, our conference just got a huge sign of respect this year. Congrats to us!

They were the team knocked out due to Wyoming winning from what has been said...

One thing that is very different this year is advanced metrics. Top 44 from Ken Pom all made the tourney. Only top 50 teams not making tourney from Ken Pom- Florida, Vandy, Stanford, and Texas A&M

RPI #29 Colorado St, #34 Dayton, #45 Tulsa, #46 Old Dominion all got left out. So if you are in a P6 conference- get in top 50 RPI and you are safe.

For the AAC- at least they'll get experience playing with the 30 second shot clock that I think will be universal next season.

I realize that and it makes sense because attempting to protect everyone against home court advantage while still seeding accurately would be a nearly impossible task. But when the fix is a simple one, it should be taken into account. In this case, why not swap the Boise St./Dayton winner with the BYU/Ole Miss winner? Both games are for an 11 seed so that doesn't change...and if it causes any other problem I'm not seeing it.
