Wow the selection committee hates Georgetown. They are actively trying to screw Georgetown over.

They give us E. Washington in Portland? If we're a 4 seed aren't we supposed to get Geographic protection? How do we have to play a team that's 5 hrs from the site and we have to fly across the country?!

Oh and they have the leading scorer in the country and shoot 39.6% from 3. Meanwhile we're 253rd in defending the 3. Ugh.

Add to that they over seed us as a 4 seed to make our humiliation even worse. f--- me.

Interesting what Patrick Stevens said about this....
The committee has largely been consistent from 2007 to 2014. This bracket is ... Different

He was a tool before he said anyhting about Villanova's seeding!

True. Funny that the ESPN guys spent the entire time talking down the Big East.

from their commentary Nova got all their wins in the Big East.. I guess VCU, Michigan, Illinois, Temple and Syracuse don't count at all?

Butler in a great bracket. Texas, Notre Dame, and Kansas/Wichita. OF course then comes Kentucky...
Nova with a tough game with NC State 2nd, then Louisville.
Providence with Oklahoma and Virginia tough draw...
St John's San Diego St then Duke. Ouch.
Georgetown like our draw with E Washington then Utah.

But Xavier- ouch. The bracket of death. Wisconsin, Arizona, Baylor, North Carolina. The toughest one I'd say.

Bring it on!

So I realize that giving Dayton a 1st four home game is unavoidable if they're one of the last 4 teams in. It doesn't make sense to improve their seed or leave them out completely just to avoid that. However, what's ridiculous, is sending them to Columbus for the 2nd and 3rd rounds should they make it that far. Providence is way better and should win anyway, but they're getting royally screwed likely having to play a road game (for all intents and purposes) against an 11 seed in their first game.
