Is it me or is this feeling a bit more like the way old Big East- like circa 1995(last time Nova won it). The 10 team version really starting to grow on me. Last night(Fri) was the first time even including the 16 team version that I was like- this reminds me of the old big east that I grew up with.

The way things shook out this week it looks like nova will be the second one seed behind Kentucky. Such a tremendous accomplishment for the team and conference.

Yep, congrats to Villanova and their fans. You guys have one heck of a team. Super excited Xavier made the BE Championship game in our second year in the conference, but you guys owned us...again. Wish we could have made some shots and made a game of it.

Hope the BE does damage in the NCAA tournament starting next week.

The future is bright for the conference. Xavier will continue to get better. Our arguably two most talented freshman both redshirted this year (London - 6"10 wing just needed to get stronger and wasn't going to see time with a crowded frontcourt, and Sumner - 6"5 guard took a medical redshirt after having chronic tendinitis).

Villanova will be very good again next year. You guys are the only team X hasn't beaten (0-5) and that sucks. Hopefully we can get you next year.

What a game! I was at MSG last night (& all tournament), and I agree with what the Post said about it this morning. A "coronation" not a game. I'd venture to say of the 13,000 in attendance, it was a 90% Nova crowd. With tickets selling for over $100, I'm glad people took the time to sell & make sure their unused tickets ended up in the hands of people who wanted to be there.

I'll never forget marching out of MSG to 7th Avenue with the band playing after watching us cut down those nets.

I have to say, all tournament long, I was most impressed with those fans who stuck around and showed up after their team lost. Couldn't believe how many SHU, Creighton, and especially St. John's people were there after they lost. Happy for the support.

Not disappointed at all.

Nova is just so good. If we had a chance to win, we had to make everything and Nova go cold from beyond the arc. Neither happened.

No problem, time for the NCAAs.

Jay Wright post game press conference. Mostly Nova talk, but discusses the conference, the tournament, the Garden, and Fox @ 3:50-4:30, 5:20-6:00, 9:00-10:00 and 14:15-15:00.

I know Wright has his detractors here and elsewhere, but what an asset he is not only to Nova, but to the Big East as well.

I would also like to congratulate Nova and fans for winning the league and the tournament. I only wish the X-men had given them a better game, but at least it assures Nova of a 1 seed.
