I have a question. If St. John's is a 8/9 seed, would the committee shy away from matching them up with duke because they played in the regular season. Or do they not care? My gut tells me the committee will knock SJU to a 10 or 11 seed but I think we might get an 9 and would love to play duke

They worry about matchups like that in the first round, but it's inevitable that prior matchups might happen. They can't forecast ahead for the next round so they don't consider second round matchups.

Just saw Stevens said that he is flipping in his bracket VCU and Xavier- making Xavier a 7 and VCU a 6. Xavier would play Oklahoma St 1st, and then Wisconsin(in Louisville). Tougher than Purdue/Iowa St.
