I think if I'm Xavier I'm rooting for Gonzaga Tuesday night vs BYU. A BYU win puts Xavier for instance in Lunardi's bracket math only 5 spots ahead of going to Dayton. No real danger in missing the tourney- but want to obviously avoid Dayton at all costs.

This ain't our 1st rodeo. 25th, in fact, including 9 of the last 10. Make the Dance and Advance is all that concerns us this time of year.

I agree but the extra game is just that an extra game that you have to advance. Even though the record of the teams that win from Dayton in the at large group has been really good(think only 1x in the 4 years did a team not advance to the sweet 16)- just think it'd be better to avoid that.

considering Illinois was only in 11 brackets on bracket matrix this morning- yeah I think it's safe to say that Illinois is NIT.

not a good early bubble day as Illinois, Old Dominion, and now Texas A&M all saw their hopes likely dashed....

That was 3 of Lunardi's first 8 teams gone. great news for Iona and Murray St. I know Lunardi put Richmond as his 8th team out to replace Illinois, so their game with VCU tomorrow could get them closer. Also great news for Tulsa who saw 2 teams vanish for them- and UCLA has to play a USC team today that doesn't help them at all(and would kill them if they lost).
