next year will be interesting. Providence likely takes a step back with Henton definitely gone and Dunn likely gone. St John's loses a lot. Xavier loses a good bit. Nova, Georgetown, and Butler all should be pretty good. DePaul of all teams returns most everything- could see them make a push. Marquette has a lot of freshmen and a coach who knows about coaching freshmen. Creighton will be better. Should be very interesting for Seton Hall.

No chance. Zero. Less than zero. This is getting worse before it gets better. A lot worse.

Even if everyone comes back, the problem is still the leader. Willard has shown no ability to instill discipline or a winning attitude in this bunch, and no reason to think he's going to suddenly discover that ability 5 years in. His postgame quotes are a series of excuses and woe-is-me whining that most high school coaches would be embarrassed to say in public. Unfortunately, neither SHU nor their relatively weak alumni base can afford to buy him out and start over, so the can of SHU's potential re-boot gets kicked on down the road another year (or two).

As an aside, it's frankly amazing that SHU and Rutgers, both playing in high-level conferences in a big basketball state and region, can consistently be so inept.
