Washington Post: Why Did Buzz Leave Marquette for VT

Thought this was interesting. No actual answers, but at least some finally some printed hints that Marquette wasn't happy with Buzz. Annoying however that the article incorrectly assumes that the autonomy vote would grant "benefits Marquette and the Big East wouldn’t have access to".

You right, since Val said the Big East can do it. Same did Mike Aresco of the AAC.

The NCAA made it clear that the ability to give stipends/other benefits they mentioned would be available to any conference that was willing to do it. Where I'm not 100% sure it is available is if an individual school like Gonzaga could do it without the consent of the conference.

As far as Buzz goes, it was best for us to part ways when we did.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
