Everyone seems to be assuming that the bottom 4 members of the conference have no shot. Any chance Marquette, or Creighton, or Seton Hall, or DePaul can get hot and make a run at least to the finals just to keep things interesting?
Stranger things have happened . . . although not many.
If Seton Hall had won 1 game last week Bill, I think they would have had a real shot. They would have been 20-14 making the title game. Would have gotten really interesting. I think the fact that Seton Hall has a possible 2nd rd game with Nova as well makes it worse for them. The other 3 teams- DePaul lost 7 straight, Marquette hasn't beaten a top 6 team since Jan 3, and Creighton just is snake bit.
Seton Hall, Marquette, Creighton, or DePaul would have to win the conference tournament without knocking another team out of the big dance. I think the best chance of that happening would be Seton Hall beating Marquette, then Villanova, then St. John's (who would have beaten Providence), then beating Xavier in the championship game.
