this is true.

what is amazing-
# of teams to make sweet 16-
7 seeds- 20
8 seeds- 11
9 seeds- 5
10 seeds- 22
11 seeds- 17
12 seeds- 20
13 seeds- 6

how insanely crazy is it in terms of making the sweet 16, it's better to be a 13 seed than it is a 9 seed?

Not all the crazy when you think about it. A #1 seed has never lost their first game so the winner of the 8/9 has always had to play a #1 seed in the next game. On the other end, a 13 seed plays a 4 seed and should they win, would then play the winner of a 5/12 game. I think I would rather be a 12 or 13 instead of a 8 or 9. As 13 seed which wins their first game probably is a much better match up a 5 seed than a 8 or 9 seed is with a 1 seed. Looks like the numbers confirm it. That 8/9 winner is really set up for a nasty second game.

It's just amazing how the system works where it is better like we agree that being a 13 is better to make the sweet 16 over being a 9.

Also I would say it's bizarre that being a 8 seed is over 2x better making the sweet 16 over being a 9 seed. 8's are 11-48 vs 1's. 9's are 5-56 vs 1's.

AT halftime (if not sooner), either Marquette needs to go yellow or The Johnies go red. This is hard to watch.

Terrible second half by Seton Hall. Oh well. Hopefully we get Second half Seton Hall on Saturday and not first half.
Meanwhile will have to hope for some help from Butler.

You don't realize how important branch is until he's out. He is so good when the offense gets stale so it's tough without him. But johnnies hanging in up 12

impressive win for St John's. You just wonder what their limit is with seeds. I think a win over Nova and they may be looking at a 6 or 7 seed. Combine that with a BET win and maybe a 4 seed perhaps????
