Days like this I miss living in New York. I would have set my alarm for like 9 am, grabbed a bagel on my way to the subway, got to a bar around msg by 10'ish, start my early day drinking, hit the hoyas v johnnies game, then hit a bar to watch the nova game (preferably whatever bar Lowry 45 was at), and then by 5 o'clock have a nice buzz going and hit up one of the favorite pizza places. That's a great day of college basketball.

But then again, I was swimming in the ocean yesterday before work, so things aren't too bad here.

A little annoying that I'm stuck with Georgia Tech @ Clemson instead of GT/SJU, here in Richmond. Feel free to expand to virginia so I don't have to watch bad ACC hoops.

This production at the garden today is top notch and shows how healthy the league is.

Great start for the johnnies, but gtown clawing back in. I am rooting for the johnnies.

Yes, Steve, you are moving the goal posts:

Goal Post #1 - "like it or not, RPI is still a significant part of the selection process."

Even if the lose their last 3 games, Xavier projected RPI IS 48, good enough to put just about any team in. But when Xavier meets Goal Post #1, you introduce:

Goal Post #2 - "Regardless of the RPI, the committee will never give a bid to an 18-14 team."

If Xavier loses their last 3 games, read what RPI forecast has...

that's right 18-14= 62.3.
It's 19-14 that gets them up to 48. That's what I've been saying all along..... That's not moving the goalpost. They at 18 wins do not meet the RPI goal post. Period. At 19 wins they do meet the RPI goal post, therefore they would be in.

No, when I plug in losses for their last 2 games and give them a first round loss in the BE tournament vs an arbitrary opponent (I used Providence), RPI Wizard gives me a final RPI rank of 48 witH a record of 18-14.

The problem with RPI Wizard is that uses only the regular season games for everyone else. That obviously isn't the case. I used RPI Forecast with the RPI that they said would be with EVERYONES Conference tourney included. That's a HUGE difference.

Interesting - here in Raleigh today, much to my surprise, we have the SJU - Georgetown game.

Thanks NJRedman, Milloy, and MUPanther.

SJU looks like they want to dance. Now Gtown needs to put in some work to remain above the 7 line.
