I have been screaming for 2 weeks that decisions are made at the end of the season and that I simply had faith that X and SJU had what it took to make the tourney. Now you agree that decisions are made in March and not Feb after explaining to everyone for 3 weeks who was and wasn't going to make it. You kept selling me on UCONN, Cincy, Tulsa and FL instead of SJU and X, who people on this board have a rooting interest in.

Any team that is currently ranked RPI 30 or higher would be in trouble if they lost 3 straight at this time of year. Why not just say X and every other team from RPI 29 to 55 can't afford to lose the rest of their games and expect to get a bid? Everyone would get that. Mich St might fit that description, or maybe GA or Okl St. But you single out X. Why? Because you have an agenda and you enjoy managing everyone's expectations on this board, every chance you get. X beats Cincy and Butler and your reaction: "uh oh Butler may drop to a 7-8 seed."

Whatever.

I have no problem saying what you are saying. But, folks then need to stop saying that a St John's win clinches 6 bids because it absolutely does not. I NEVER said that Xavier or St Johns wouldn't make the tournament- just they had a harder road to hoe than other programs.

As far as Butler's seed, you said that the injury wouldn't cause them to drop at all. They have dropped a seed line already, going from 19 down to 23 on Lunardi's S-Curve going into this weekend. They need wins to avoid dropping further.

Yes, Steve, you are moving the goal posts:

Goal Post #1 - "like it or not, RPI is still a significant part of the selection process."

Even if the lose their last 3 games, Xavier projected RPI IS 48, good enough to put just about any team in. But when Xavier meets Goal Post #1, you introduce:

Goal Post #2 - "Regardless of the RPI, the committee will never give a bid to an 18-14 team."

If Xavier loses their last 3 games, read what RPI forecast has...

that's right 18-14= 62.3.
It's 19-14 that gets them up to 48. That's what I've been saying all along..... That's not moving the goalpost. They at 18 wins do not meet the RPI goal post. Period. At 19 wins they do meet the RPI goal post, therefore they would be in.

SJU vs. G'Town tomorrow is a near sellout from what I'm hearing. Going to be packed! Will look great on CBS and show people that the Big East is alive and well. G'Town please just let us win tomorrow. You really don't need it, and it's our senior night and our ticket to punch for the tourney. I also plan on drinking heavily and merrily if we win. Stout (our NYC bar) had a big line last year when we beat G'Town and that didn't even have any of the story lines like punching a ticket to the tourney or senior night. So if we win tomorrow, there will be 45 minute waits at Stout. That place will not be walkable.

Can't wait for today's Georgetown vs. St. John's Game. The garden is close to being sold out. It's going to be an electric atmosphere. Two rivals going head to head in the Mecca. Doesn't get any better than this.

Do games on CBS (aka GT/SJ) have a "real" stream anywhere? Or am I just gonna have to watch on first row?

I know we hate on FSGo for crashing so much, but at LEAST Fox has an app for their sports broadcasts. Come on CBS!

CBS has free streaming for all of their college FB games so they might do it for BBall too.

So all the experts need to stop saying it because you don't think they clinch a spot with a top 25 win? You're a fool.

A St John's win doesn't do anything for Xavier. A St John's win clinches 5 bids. Xavier has not clinched yet, and won't until they win.

D-Lo Harrison just picked up his 2nd foul 25 seconds into the game.

Way to step it up d-Lo. Packed house at the Garden on national network televised game against one of the biggest names in college hoops on senior night and you are going to take a seat for 19 minutes in the first half.
