That's what I'm thinking. But let's stick to discussing the real possibilities. I don't want to read "but the ACC refs would totally come here! They know we are focused only on basketball and with our tv contract they'll be on tv for every game no matter who is playing!" or "the Horizon league has some pretty good refs" or "what about high school refs? You know the game is more pure at that level." If we can avoid those kinds of ridiculous sidetracks I think we can have a real productive discussion and hammer this out in under 80 pages.

I would say the WCC refs. Travel won't be a problem and I'm sure if they do perform poorly that they'll still show up. I don't think the A-10 refs bring enough mojo and the AAC refs are either not good enough or would bolt in a heart beat to the Power 5.

You are probably right about the AAC refs. I guess you have to ask yourself if, with their quality, they are worth a 5 year rental.

With the WCC refs you have to wonder not only about their performance during game-nights, but also their recruiting. Can they keep getting the same quality from the area when they are never in town? We do have to think about the quality of the next generation of refs here.

Have to weigh the options and say no. That's why the WCC, A-10, MVC, and even Summit League refs should both be preferred, they wouldn't bolt to the P5 if they were given the chance.

That's a big question. Since we have absolutely no idea how they would recruit, I would have to say... ABSOLUTELY.
If they don't (which is highly unlikely) they'll still show up, even if they call games terribly.

Three very ugly games today so far. Must Not See TV. This was the first time this year that I switched off the Dawg's and finished up watching L'ville v the U on ESPN. Good game.
