you are funny. Almost a zero percent chance that the AAC would be a 2 bid league. Temple now has 19 wins. SMU 20. Both pretty much just no bad losses and they are in. Cincy even with the loss still has a 37 RPI. They have a 6-5 record vs RPI top 100. They should be safe still. And Tulsa still has a 45 RPI. The Tulsa/Cincy winner from a game in a few weeks- should be pretty safe....

Yeah, GW is in trouble now. Bid clinching win for VCU I think now.

Stever, can I ask, what is the reasoning for your love affair with the AAC? Are you a temple fan or something ?

I don't love the AAC, I just think they are far better than folks here want to give them credit for. When people stay absolutely idiotic stuff like AAC may get only 2 bids, when they have 4 top 45 teams in the RPI, plus UConn still lurking- that just gets to me.

just looking a bit- let's say Seton Hall can steal this game today...

they would be up to 16-9. St John's is at 16-8.

You could make the case that the winner of their game is likely going to be in the tourney.

For St John's they would need to get 2 wins out of Georgetown 2x, Xavier, Marquette, and Nova. Seems very reasonable.
For Seton Hall, they would need to get 2 wins out of Nova, Creighton, PC, and Georgetown. While not a slam dunk yes, it's a very reasonable situation.

I would say the path to 7 would be a Seton Hall win there, as St John's would still have a shot at winning 3 of those other 5 games. Maybe not a great shot- but a shot none the less.

I call BS on this. You are a transparent AAC homer. Thats OK but you ned to just come clean. SJU wins a big game on the road and your first reaction? You claim XU might now be in trouble. But Cincy scores 13 pts in a half, loses on their home court to the #177 team and your reaction? They're safe. Tulsa doesn't pass the eye test and they have ZERO good wins OOC. Temple is banking on one win vs KU and Cincy now can't score and they are kicking one of their players off the team. And then there's UCONN... You're banking on a team in the 80's to jump up 30 spots. They lose tonight and I fear they have no more quality games left to make a statement.

The BE is closer to 6 than the AAC is to 3 I'm afraid.

I'm sorry but any team with 10 losses and the schedule that Xavier has coming up- they are in trouble. Cincy was hurt by the loss, no doubt, but they still right now are 17-8, with wins over San Diego St, NC State(looking better after their win vs Louisville), SMU x 2, and Temple. 1 bad loss doesn't make a season(if it did, PC would be in deep trouble with their loss to Brown(who is about 100 spots worse than Tulane is)).

You aren't fearing anything with UConn, because you don't want them in there. The fact is even after tonight they still get another chance at SMU and a game at Temple which is huge.

You are banking on all of Cincy, Tulsa, and UConn not making the tourney, which is foolish. Odds are extremely good at least 1 of those teams makes the tourney, if not more.

And now with the Big East- the loser of the Xavier/St John's game-
Xavier- would have 11 losses. other 4 games are @ Cincy, Butler, Villanova, and @ Creighton. 13 losses before the tourney would be pushing it.
St John's- would have 9 losses. Other 5 games are @ Georgetown, Seton Hall, Georgetown, @ Marquette, and @ Villanova 12 losses and they really are on the bubble big time.

You tell me, which of those 2 teams is a lock with the loss? Xavier who would have to beat 2 of Cincy, Butler, and Creighton(assuming a loss to Nova)? St John's who would have to beat 3 of Georgetown, Seton Hall, Georgetown, and Marquette(also assuming a loss to Nova)?

Temple's loss to St. Joe's certainly qualifies as a bad loss.

I don't really care about all the bubble shit. The worthy teams will get in.

But it should be said, stever20 pretty much made it known before this season that he thinks the C7 (or at least his Hoyas) should've stuck with the AAC. Nothing wrong with that, just some perspective.
