Thanks guys on the Bryant pick... it just caught my attention.

Tonight, Feb 3rd:
From the "Greatest Conference In The History If The World", i give you this:

Wake Forest 88, NC State 84.
With the loss, NC State dropped from 51 to 63 in RPI.
Wake improved from 147 to 144.
Huge loss for NC State and the ACC.

Also, Louisville won at Miami (Fla), dropping the Hurricanes to RPI 62.
And with 16 minutes left at the Carrier Dome, Virginia Tech is up on Syracuse 41-40.

Edit: Va Tech vs Syracuse has been one of the most brainless games ive seen in a while. Ive watched a few minutes during FS1 breaks... there has been a banked-in free throw, a banked-in 3-pointer, a brick free throw that hit iron then stopped on the iron then rolled in. Had VT up 10 with ball, under 4 minutes, jacking up threes with 32 seconds on the shot clock. Buzz burned thru his TO's. Lots of empty benches in the Carrier Dome.

Finally and mercifully Buzz and his clipboard threw a backcourt pass, leading to SU game-winning layup. Buzz forgot how to coach or something. Basically, each team kept jacking up brick 3's, til SU pressed and Va Tech couldn't get past half court.

a team getting on the bubble- Purdue just beat Ohio St. They're right now projected with today to get to 20-11. looking at RPI forecast, that's a 59 RPI. They have a HUGE game on Saturday @ Minnesota that might be make or break- projected to lose- but if they can win, it gets them projected to 21-10, and that's a 48 RPI. Considering that would be 13-5 in the Big Ten, I think that probably gets them in.

Wednesday Feb 4th:

St Bonaventure 62, Davidson 61.

Davidson loses to the RPI 138 Bonnies at home, 4 days after a loss at RPI 184 St Joseph’s.
Davidson's RPI has now worsened to 67.

Tulsa got blown out tonight by UConn, 70-45. That makes back-to-back double digit losses for Tulsa after a 12 game win streak. They have a good road win over Temple, but otherwise they haven't played anyone prior to these 2 losses, and tonight's game has to raise questions about them.

Tulsa has 3 games left, including Temple, @Mempphis, @SMU, and Cincinnati, their only game vs Cincy this year. I predict that they will lose 3 of these 4 games and will not make the NCAA tournament unless they redeem themselves in their conference tournament.

Terrible loss for Cincy. Probably drpw them to a 4-seed with a first round AAC tournament match up vs UConn in Hartford who they're likely one and done. They can't afford another bad loss like this. X can help them dig their hole deeper this week.

Louisville's loss at home to NC State should knock them out of the Top 10. Don't expect North Carolina to take their place after losing to Pitt by 13.

After a 15-3 run, SMU has taken a 22 point lead on UConn with 8 minutes to go. SMU has completely dismantled the Huskies, forcing turnovers and shooting lights. Out. UConn has no answers. UConncertainly does not look like a team capable of winning a conference tournament with SMU in it.

This has become a complete blow out. The run is now up to 22-3, SMU IS IP BY 28, it's lights out for me and theHuskies, and I'm going to bed.

Davidson, a team on the bubble, boosted their stock with a road win over a good GW team.

Regardless if Davidson makes the tourney or not, they've had a very good 1st year in the A10, a definite step up from the Southern.
