You guys seem to have missed that when we were struggling in that stretch a few weeks ago Harrison wasn't himself and couldn't shoot a lick and we lost those games. If you are paying attention he just dropped 33 on DePaul and has his swag back. We won our last two games without a big man on the floor. Also, we are a team who steps it up in February. Lets Go St. John's!!!!!

And I think Georgetown and Xavier are 2 of you guys weaker matchups. Xavier swept you all last year. And a team without much size playing against Georgetown? Yeah let me know how that goes for you.

St. John's did go on a good run last February. They were undefeated before losing a close road game to Villanova and getting beat up by Xavier at home. They might have had a chance of making the tournament heading into the BET, but that two-game sequence pretty much ended their season.

This season they face Xavier and Georgetown twice, so they don't lack for opportunities. Funnily enough, their home game against Xavier is almost a year to the day from that loss last year, but I don't expect the same result. Last year, Xavier really needed a road win for their resume (even though SJU did too). This year, Xavier won't be completely secure, but they'll have less urgency. Plus, I think Xavier will win tomorrow (*knock on wood*) and I don't expect Xavier to sweep SJU for two straight seasons.

If they don't, which i fully expect, it still remains in the balance. No obekpa tomorrow I'm hearing, so I fear we might get smashed by Xavier and their bigs

Not necessarily true at all. If Georgetown beats Butler and sweeps St John's, we would finish at 13-5. Unless Butler or PC beats Nova, Georgetown would be the #2 seed.

Thats true when we play on defense but when we have the ball X is at a disadvantage when those bigs have to come out and guard smaller faster players. If they leave the big underneath then watch out for Harrison and Greene draining 3's and if they come out and defend it leaves the lane open for drives to the basket. Either way we shouldn't see too much D. Also Pointer has had what, 14 blocks in the last two games as our big man? It's not a guarantee they smash us up inside tomorrow. But Stainbrook is a big body so we might see more from Ali and De la Rosa if he gets going with too many easy buckets early on.

This year is better, but still it's not an overpowering OOC resume. 10-2 vs D1. #60 SOS OOC. It's decent but not special.

1 big difference last year vs this year is remaining schedule.
last year- had last 7 games Seton Hall, Butler, DePaul, and Marquette left. of the other 3- Georgetown and Xavier both at home.
This year- only have Seton Hall and Marquette left that don't seem too hard. Still have Xavier and Georgetown 2x, and a game @ Nova. So a MUCH harder end of season schedule.

Oh I agree. That non-con eliminated their margin for error. But, it looked like they were playing their way into the tournament last February.
