As much as posters on the SHU forums regularly bashed him, Sina was one of the most important players on this team. His contributions didn't always show up in the box score, but he easily had the highest basketball IQ and most level head on the team. He lacked confidence at times, but he's still just a sophomore. The team that picks him up will be very lucky.

It was insinuated that there was a fight in the locker room last night. Apparently there was another one today. Honestly I don't see how Willard remains employed another day.

Wow. Can't believe how badly this has turned out for Seton Hall. They took a gamble by grabbing the freshman class the way they did and Willard was unable to manage it properly. Now Sina is gone. Gibbs will likely go the graduate transfer route after this year and Whitehead may bounce for the Pros despite not being ready. Who knows the whole freshman class could transfer if Willard is fired like he should be or they might all transfer if he isn't fired. Neither would surprise me. It's jut Crazy that it looked like the recruiting class hail mary had worked just a couple of weeks ago and the Pirates were on the way to the NCAAs and now the whole program may blow up and they may have to start from scratch.

Maybe Whitehead can be a player-coach?

Unbelievable. Time for Willard to go. He might be a good coach somewhere else, Seton Hall was just not the right fit for him. But I don't know. I think this is similar to what happened to Coach Mac at Iowa State. Program was unraveling and he had to GTHO.

Last night was one of the weirdest games I've ever attended. I can't believe that the same guys that played hard, supported each other and won are the same guys that are imploding today. I am beside myself. So much talent and so much promise seemingly tossed away because of egos. Absolutely disgusting. :x

Disappointing. Unfortunate. Not surprising at all.

When you allow the hot-head players to control the morale of the team, it is only a matter of time until the group implodes. Teams are always reflective of their coach. Either Willard knew what was going on and did nothing about it, or he encouraged it and it backfired. In either case, Seton Hall should look for new leadership after the season.

Who gets replaced first: Steve Lavin or Kevin Willard? Two programs could have new coaches after the tournament.

Leave Steve Lavin out of this. Doesn't he already have his own "crappy coach" thread?

Don't you know the rules of Holyland of Hoops? St. John's is to be bashed in every and any thread no matter the subject. hahaha

With that said i'm now glad that Whitehead didn't come to SJU and poison our locker room. We might not play to our ability every game but if one thing is true about our team is that our guys are in it for each other.

Is it a slam dunk in SHU circles that Danny Hurley would be the first guy contacted to replace Willard? Heck if Mack decides to move on I'd like X to go after Hurley.
