Richmond dropped a close one tonight.

La Salle 64, Richmond 62. <--- at La Salle.

The Spiders' RPI has now dropped to 74. It was mid-50's after their win over VCU.

meanwhile UCLA beats Stanford at Stanford. UCLA's RPI is up to 45 now(Stanford now 44)
Cincy beats SMU as well. Cincy's RPI is up to 24 now(SMU is now 27)- and Cincy should be feeling pretty comfortable all of a sudden...

You are comfortable with X's resume, I'm not. We disagree.

Both CBS and ESPN have dropped Xavier to bubble territory and have them in the danger zone.

I think it's very reasonable. Any team that has to have a winning record the rest of the way absolutely is a bubble team.

I just don't understand how someone couldn't say they're on the bubble right now. Xavier has a very tough schedule left, could easily drop 4 or 5 games in the last 8. I mean, they could easily lose to Providence, Cincy, Butler, St John's, and Nova. Even the 2 easiest games per se- Marquette and Creighton- are road games.

No surprise there. Even as an X fan, I would have a hard time making a strong case for including X at this point. The lack of consistency is troubling. Hopefully Creighton gave us the wake up call we need.

It's a couple of days late, but congrats to Creighton on the win.

Here's the thing. If season were over right now, I think Xavier is in. My thought on Xavier is moreso with the remaining schedule. I just don't know with the schedule you have left, that you can win 5 games. And I just don't think you have a chance if you don't win 5 games.

And, I don't think it's this big crime to say that Xavier is on the bubble like Bill makes it out to be.

while I rarely watch X or UC but as a Reds and Bengals fan I do frequently listen to WLW sports talk and what I heard last night was pretty interesting on X. Mack and Myles Davis with differing views on leadership, if there was any and most interesting is who is to blame. I didn't hear the outcome of the conversation but Providence is either going to get a mad as hell wet hornet or a team divided and I'd bet on the first scenario. I did watch a tiny portion of the UC game and they looked better than I expected, all I've heard about them is they can't throw it in the ocean but they sure were filling it up last night.

I will be very shocked if X does not handle UC. The bearcats had 10 turnovers in the first 6 minutes of the game last night and was only trailing SMU by 3 points at SMU. The American is just a dumpster fire right now.
