I think DePaul is eliminated form NCAA Tournament contention (outside of them winning the Big East Tournament), but I feel they have a strong argument for the National Invitation Tounament if they get a few more wins. They beat Marquette, Xavier, Creighton, and St. John's at home and Seton Hall on the road and lost to Georgetown at home and lost to Villanova, Xavier, and Providence on the road.

You have to be a RPI top 70 team at worst to make the NIT now. It's not like how it used to be where if a team like DePaul finished 16-15, they were a lock to get in. It's now more based on merit, except for the fact that the 1 bid leagues where their conference champ loses in the conference tourney is guaranteed a NIT slot. Last year took up like 15 slots- cost Marquette a spot quite frankly....

I'd say if he's a first round lock he has to go. I'd miss him, but can't blame him.

Hope he doesn't gamble on it if he is not a lock.

I have to think Dunn is gone. You got to remember this is his third year, McD AAs from his class have been in the league for a year or two. I think of him kind of like Semaj, that the longer he stays the less he becomes an upside pick for his freak athletic skills. Has to strike while the iron is hot.

Starting to see the frustration set in for Jays fans but what would you expect when they don't have daddy's son to beat off to all season long.

Maybe Creighton fans just really like Providence? There's a lot of love between the two teams on this board. Maybe it has nothing to do with NCAA bids.

Maybe you should win in December, too. Or string a couple of successful seasons together. You know, anything really to not be a perennial league doormat.
