ChelseaFriar... Thanks. Appreciate you.
I'm not a Coach Cooley fan, but he is a class act. Coaches generally are politicians - kissing babies, all politeness and smiles, and political correctness in public venues (Exception: Bobby Knight). Coach Cooley comes across a a genuine guy and somewhat likeable. Behind closed doors - perhaps another story (Coach K).

Snarky or otherwise I can see RJay's position. Creighton is an outlier school. In past decades the sole Cath., private school in a good non-BCS conference. We were consistent winners and as a result were the recipient of resentment and hate. There was very little good sportsmanship btwn member schools, but much venom.

Here we are still the outlier school, now in a conference of similar universities - 1500 miles from the BE epicenter (NYC). While some of you have welcomed the 3 newbies to the fold, many BE old timers mumble n mutter in sidebar conversations and just out of earshot, of the shame and disgrace of what the BE has become.

Change is the only constant. It is difficult. Appreciate the love & the support. However, we accepted your offer to move up to bigtime college hoops for 2 reasons: to validate our rising sports programs... And to win.
Good sportsmanship is a good tertiary benefit - we will adjust.

Just saw scene from the hotel last year before our first BET game. Jays fans were awesome. Down year this season but we're in it for the long haul.

ChelseaFriar, I know this is really late, but I want to apologize for my post earlier. It was inappropriate and unnecessary on my part. It's been a frustrating season, even for those of us expecting a few road bumps along the way, regardless, I should not have taken it out on you.

Honestly, don't worry about it. I've been a PC fan since 1991, so I know all too well what it's like to be at or near the bottom of the Big East. We had a very tough stretch from around 2005 to when Cooley was hired a few years ago. It wears on you.

2005 is when Ryan Gomes graduated, so in some ways it's similar to McDermott graduating (Gomes was a 1st team AP AA as a Junior, but he was obviously not in the same class as McDermott as far as National Player of the Year, etc.).

The good news is you have what appears to be a good coach and you have some of the best fan support I've seen. You lost a ton of talent to graduation but you guys will be back. I hope you get a win soon.

Creighton has been this year's tough luck team. You are the envy of the league in attendance. The wins will come - maybe even this year.

Completely agree. Of the new additions, it was CU I was the least familiar with, and now find myself rooting for them more than I do for most of our rivals

Coach Mac advanced to the next round of the ESPN Infiniti Coaches Charrity Challenge. He is participating in support of the Abide Network which was started by a former Creighton player - Josh Dotzler - which helps serve poor in the area.
