The observation of a stupid Dayton troll. That Xavier victory just killed you, didn't it?

1) I knew GTown would be lacking some energy after Nova win
2) Need to make Black jerseys permaneant
3) Mack is starting to make a believer out of me.
4) Hoyas, you gotta get more people to the arena or use a smaller venue. Probably least intimidating crowd since DePaul this year.
5) This game is bigger for Xavier than it is for Hoyas. We needed a road win and we looked good doing it. Go X!

Georgetown played Marquette on Saturday. So, they've played a game since Villanova.

I could tell early on that Georgetown was in trouble, if they couldn't make outside shots. Xavier basically made them one-dimensional, and even contested several of Georgetown's outside shots. Xavier just might be a poor matchup for Georgetown.

Yep, match ups are probably a big part.

That's what it looks like to me. Seems to be that way with certain teams. Hoyas seemed to consistently have Louisville's number over the years.

Just got home from the game. Just to hit on a few random things:

- Verizon Center was a freaking mausoleum tonight. Maybe it was because it was a Tuesday night and there was "bad" weather (which there wasn't) but there was absolutely no one there. And those that did show up made no noise.
- Finally we get a solid 40 minutes of basketball. And what do you know, they looked great. The Georgetown matchup is just really great for Xavier defensively. Matt matches up great with Smith and it doesn't force him to play outside his comfort zone.
- Myles Davis...how about him. He might be one of the most improved players in the conference right now. He's absolutely been a go-to guy scoring lately. On top of that, he's really stepped up on the defensive side of the ball.
- Trevon is finally getting shots to fall, which is really crucial for this team.
- Remy continues to dominate on defense. He has had stellar performances against DSR.
- Macura had a really sloppy game. He's just such a wild card out there.
- How does that inbounds play keep working!? We run it almost every single game to Matt. It used to be Mark Lyons' go-to play. Absolutely baffles me.
- A road Top 25 win is huge. Now 18 in KenPom, 25 in RPI.

Just keep winning. Let's start a little winning streak now.

Xavier matches up better with Georgetown than just about any team in the Big East. I don't doubt that the matchups contributed to the series sweep, though the blowout at Georgetown was surprising.

X looked great and it was an excellent sweep of the Hoyas. G-town has a lot of trouble from beyond the 3 point line.

Will help in RPI as well,

The observation of a stupid Dayton troll. That Xavier victory just killed you, didn't it?

long time BE fan since mid 80s. I'll be honest i was rooting for gtown last night because i think they are the most complete team besides nova to make a long post season run. I thought they turned the corner with recent wins but apparently still have ways to go. one of the frustrating thing for me was their inability to utilize josh.

Xavier played well both on offense and D. i think they especially did a good job answering some mini runs by gtown in the 2nd half. well deserved win. win a few more games like this and i'm on their bandwagon.
