Hope meeting with Speaker of the House (and Xavier alum) John Boehner inspires the X-Men to a much needed road victory:

Cause nothing excites 19 and 20 year old basketball players like a 50+ year old, white, political blow hard. Hope you're not placing too much faith in that pep talk, XU85.

 Excellent point Gumby! Thanks for the chuckle! The only sure thing is that as a politician Boehner will take credit if Xavier wins.

Oh well, Maybe the Hoyas will have an off night.

You really think the Hoyas will be over looking a team that beat them by 17?

Hell no. I expect the Hoyas to be out for blood.

Having noted that, those seem like key injuries for the Hoyas.

IF Xavier plays for all 40 minutes, they have a chance. IF they do what they've been doing, then Georgetown remains comfortably at the top. BTW, I think it's wonderful at this point for the BE that Georgetown is at the top with NOva right behind. Just know that Xavier will keep chipping away at this thing as we move forward.

It's clear, if Georgetown doesn't hit outside shots tonight, then they're going to lose. I don't see them establishing anything on the blocks. If they do get anything in the paint, I don't believe it'll be sustainable. Xavier has enough size to hold Josh Smith in check. Besides, he'll only play about 20-25 minutes because he's not in shape. I don't see him being consistently effective while he's in there anyhow.

There is still a long way to go in this one, but I see Xavier winning this game, if Georgetown can't make outside shots.
