Yea keep your head up Creighton fans. Nothing to be ashamed of, you have hung tough and had some heartbreakers in a season that was obviously going to be a rebuilding one. It is hard to recover quickly from the loss of one of the greatest college players of all time.

With that being said, I've liked the recruits and also the transfer you locked up last spring. You guys will reload, but it is hard to lose dougie and come back and be as competitive. Some players have to get used to stepping into scoring roles they didn't need to step into with dougie dropping 30 a night while getting double and triple teamed

Win one big game and start throwing shots at other teams in the conference. Georgetown squeaked by Marquette at home this year and got worked by St. John's at the end of last season, you aren't in any position to act like gtown is head and shoulders above everyone after one big win

How do we know he's a hoya fan he could just be from Lahoya california

But seriously. I actually think these are two good games that I'm excited to watch.

We've certainly had some tough breaks. Losing two of the last three on game winning shots has been a tough pill to swallow. I don't think we are necessarily as bad as our 0-6 league record indicates, but it's still been a tough year for the fan base (and players) after the last three years with Doug. I'm confident Coach Mac and Co. will get things turned around next season with the guys they have coming in, and with the younger guys on the roster who are playing major minutes this year (Hegner, Zierden, Milliken). I am still so grateful to be a part of this league.

Exactly. As a Butler fan, last year's woes didn't last long for us. In the Big East, one rebuilding season won't kill you. In the MVC or Horizon, an 0-6 conference record would kill you for the next 5 years.

The thing was- it's not just Dougie they lost. Gibbs, Wragge, Mangiat. All of them played at least 2/3 of the minutes last year except for Gibbs(and that's only because of the injury for Gibbs). Those 4 made 285 3's last year- rest of the team made 71.

I think the Oklahoma game gave the Creighton fans a touch of unrealistic expectations. Started to see that in December everyone would say with the North Texas game- but I would argue even more having to go double overtime with South Dakota.

You guys won't be down for long, the loyal fan base, and also elevated level of competition will attract tons of recruits. CU needs help down low, and I like the center you have coming in, Justin Patton, was a nice pickup. Don't wanna get too much into next season and jays recruiting but just wanted to reassure even though it is tough now, the future is bright, and Creighton was a phenomenal addition to the league.

Look at butler, they lost heartbreaker after heartbreaker, and right now, just a year later, look primed for a vintage butler run through the NCAAs come march. You guys will get there, and I believe in McDermott, he is a great coach
